Step One: decide on a Domain Name.
Think of several possible, acceptable names. If the one you
absolutely love is taken, you will have to settle for another name
or if you can live with an extension different than .com, you
should consider that. Remember that most of the time, we are at
.com sites.

While you are registering your domain
name, I would strongly recommend that you register your full
name as well - if it is not taken. I did not and now I can't
because someone with my name has already taken it.

If you have other "like" names of your
business, register them as well to prevent someone from using a
name similar to yours to gain traffic. For instance, if your
business name is "mygreatbusiness.com," you might consider
registering "mybusiness.com" and "greatbusiness.com." Or
registering the plural/singular of your business name, for
instance "valuecoaches.com," you should also register "valuecoach.com."

Step Two: go to
ProSite
Setup and enter the domain name(s) you have listed
to see which ones are available. From there, just follow the
instructions. When you decide on one, you will create an account
and this is where you will always go to to manage your account.
This will be your Account Management Home.

Step Three: when you register your
domain name, you will be asked if you will be hosting your
site at

Setup or somewhere else. Choose to Host it with

will keep everything simple and in one account with one login and

option. You can always upgrade when you find it necessary.
